A VERY Intetesting Historical Vid: Did Canaan Exist? | Dig.

And My Comment:

A native Canaanite here.😃 According to the Hebrew bible, the name Knà'an seems to refer to what today is being identified as Palestine/israel (though clearly not including its southernmost part, that which leads to the gulf of 'Aqaba), a big chunk of Western Jordan, at least the majority of Lebanon (as the Phoenician were, Linguistically and Culturally, northern Canaanites), and some small piece of South-Western Syria.

Personally, as an anti-zionist and non-jewish Jew (meaning, a Jew by ethnicity, but not by religious faith!), I have always prefered the name Knà'an (Canaan) to either israel, or Palestine, or just about any other - modernly speaking, I would simply use this as the name for the country currently politically known as either Palestine and/or israel, meaning: the entire area currently globally recognised to be "the state of israel" and the Illegally Occupied Palestinian Territories of the West Bank (including east jerusalem) and the Gaza Strip, however excluding the Illegally Occupied Syrian "golan" heights and the Ĥermòn mountain. Simply, instead of calling that country either "Palestine" or "israel", just simply call it Canaan.

And, Hopefully, some day, בּעגלה וּבזמן קריב, we shall all live to see that entire land becoming The Unified Socialist Republic of Canaan, with no religion nor nationalism whatsoEVER ואמרוּ אמן.
