I completely agree, Ĥowever the problem isn't new. They might not have had today's analitics tools, but publishers, especially the big ones, have always preferred to play it as safe as can be, and major bookstores (especially chain ones) have been doing just the same.

Being a... well, 50-year-old... young-feeling (is this term pathetic?) guy, Romantasy just happens to be my number one most favourite genre, alongside SciFi&Fantasy, Erotic, Historical Novel, Romance, and non-fiction: Ancient History, Linguistics, Philosophy, Geography, and Astronomy/Cosmology. I have always enjoyed reading, as I have always been a Romantic Nerd (Nerds RULE 😍😎). However, I admit the World I had grew up in was different: while there was TV, we didn't have a youtube, and the Internet, as a whole, came into public knowledge when I was 21 - and I really got into it when I was 24, so...

But, the point is: both as a Writer (Young Adult mostly) and a reader, I find the current situation, with both publishers and Bookshops, to be very bad, and extremely frustrating, however it is merely a slight worsening of a known, and old problem, of rotten institutional mainstream thinking mentality among both. Already back on the early Nineties, the situation was only slightly better - but not by much.

It Is Time to Say It Clearly (and I Do Apologise for Hurting Those of My Friends Who Do That)

PUBLIC SMOKING, SMOKING WHERE YOUR CANCER-CAUSING SMOKE ENTERS PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER  AGREED TO THAT, SHOULD AND MUST   BE BANNED WORLDWIDE. As causing lung-cancer to your non-smoking Friends, is NOT  a Friendly, nor a Decent thing to do. Thus, smoking in any place (a balcony, the street, gardens, anywhere in a bar/Café/Restaurant etc.), where the smoke might enter the lungs of ANYONE, other than the smokers themselves, should be regarded as a severe crime. Is There Such a Thing as "100% Vegan"? Should We Strive to Reach It, At All?

A little over two weeks ago, I have - thus far - successfully returned to Veganism. I was Vegan from the 26th of May, 2015 until the 27th of december, 2023 = when, depending purely upon whichever items were available for me on the Breakfast at my beLoved "♥️Turist♥️" (as I had no money whatsoever beyond it, for anything), thus having absolutely no available source for Proteins and Vitamin D (at the ♥️Belarusian🇧🇾♥️ Winter...), I actually had no choice, but to go back to consuming dairy (mostly yellow Cheese) and eggs, simply in order to survive... so, in a heart breaking defeat, I had done so. Gott sei dank, I had the Vegetarianism I grew up on to fall back onto, so that I did not stoop down to consuming the flesh of any murdered Animals!! Ĥowever, falling back onto my childhood Vegetarianism, I had then did find it increasingly difficult to finally make the move back to Veganism again, once that horrible crisis has ended a week later, or when it has become possible for me ...
